Sheep to Chic
On Sunday June 14th Cerise UK is honoured to be hosting a rather special event with the co-founder of Makepiece, the unique ethical knitwear brand, Beate Kubitz. The ever eco passionate Beate will be discussing fashion, style and her very own sheep. This will be a free introduction to the issues driving fashion with a conscience and will demonstrate how you can select style with substance and choose clothes which you can wear with pride. You will also learn more about the 'sheep to chic' brand which is making waves in the world of contemporary fashion with its dramatic and stunning knitwear designs and how co-founder, Beate, juggles the different worlds of farming and fashion. In addition to tales from the field there will also be loads of divine Makepiece clothes as well as accessories.
This is quite a departure from our normal scheduled offer but when the chance to grab some light weight summer goodies recently featured on greenmystyle.com came along I had to jump at the chance. A preview and pre-order the of the new Makepiece A/W collection is another bonus with the whole day being capped off by 10% any purchases made on the day.
Just to spice things up a bit I've invited the ethical shoe designer, Hetty Rose along to display some of her latest creations based on a flower theme in keeping with the market outside. Renowned ethical stylist Lupe Castro, founder of Ethical Heaven, will be joining us as a super special treat to offer styling and organic make up tips. There is even a chance that Lupe is bringing a special guest but there will be more on that as developments unfold.
Please do come along if you can as it would be lovely to see you! Beate's talk will be around 2pm so there will be plenty of time to enjoy the Columbia Road Flower Market beforehand and grab some lunch.
