I get by with a little help from my friends

Let's face it, sometimes you just can't do it all on your own. Take for instance me and this whole writing malarkey. When I first began my Cerise UK journey the very idea of anything beyond signing a cheque much less writing a business plan would bring me out in a cold sweat. Then one day I had the good fortune, cheers The Athena Network, to attend a talk from media coach Carole Ann Rice. Listening to her made it clear in my mind that I had to get a grip on the written word and that she was the one to hold my hand/kick my butt.
Well in true compadre style Carole Ann has teamed up with former BBC producer and interviewer Sarah Wade to write the book, "Find Your Dream Job". Chocked full of real life examples from people who have made the switch from "job" to " a passion that pays" this is book to get you moving. If you're all sorted, then in the spirit of friendship why not grab a copy for your moaning mates?
Sceptical? Join Carole Ann and Sarah on Wednesday 10th of June at Borders on Oxford Street from 6:30 for the official book signing. While you are there you can check all of the happy shiny people for switches and wires just to make sure they're not robots!
Carrying on with the friend theme, I had the pleasure of running into these three Amigos at the Pulse tradeshow in Earl's Court yesterday.
(For the record I also ran into the equally wonderful Danielle from Miss Budd, Brownen and Hannah from Lowie and Marie Louise from 100 Metres but they hate being tortured with the camera!)
With all the doom and gloom at the moment, spending a brilliant summer's day inside Earls Court with massive group of "recession proofing" retailers was hardly and appealing idea. Enter Team Harkin with their colourful stand and equally colourful stories to keep me amused. I especially loved the one of Steve having a dream about training a line of elephants to pass a football from one to the other using only their trunks - while levitating above his head! All dream analysis comments are welcome below.
Most fun of all of course is having a good old play with all the bags. Here am I with one of my favourites.
And perhaps best of all I can take spur of the moment, slap free photos without having to contend with any of the Susie Bubble v. Pam Hogg stylie drama of this past week. No understand? What haven't you been on Twitter??? For the record I stand with Susie and her post took me right back to high school. Everyone deserves the right to adorn and transform themselves through experiencing whatever is within their means. I never thought I would get so painfully emotional over a fashion blog. But hey I guess it means that this job is a love after all.
